About China Under Stress
China Under Stress is an engineering documentary channel about China's mega projects and technology. Each video takes a project that made headlines as a breakthrough and asks what happens after the ribbon is cut: the physics, the maintenance, the money, and the ground it was built on.
We try to be fair. The engineering is often genuinely impressive, and a single disaster rarely proves a whole idea wrong. What we look for is the gap between a project on paper and the conditions it has to survive in the real world.
